| Kuki Gallman, known to many as the author of “I Dreamed of Africa” (which inspired a movie of the same name), moved to Kenya over 30 years ago and settled in Ol ari Nyiro in Laikipia, a 100,000 acre estate on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Inspired by the conservation efforts of its founder Kuki Gallmann, the Gallmann Africa Conservancy conducts cultural, environmental and scholastic research. The hundred thousand acre wildlife reserve, Ol Ari Nyiro, offers extraordinary research and educational facilities, and an opportunity to connect humankind to the place of its origins.
After visiting Kuki in Kenya in the summer of 2002, Dominique Callimanopulos, President of Elevate, returned to the United States with a commitment to rally support for Kuki’s Conservancy. In November 2002, Elevate’s founder, Dominique Callimanopulos, produced a New York event at an exclusive private club to introduce Ms. Gallmann to activists and philanthropists who might support The Conservancy in fundraising and program development.

What happens in one continent reflects in the rest of the world. We are simply a link in a chain. We all share the responsibility to protect what we could today so easily destroy.
